  • Counselling

We positively promote ways in which we can look after ourselves to ensure that we reach our full potential in life.

However, in any given period of life (e.g. university years!) things can happen that make it difficult to cope. We can help you during these times. We help you to look at things in a different way and help you to come up with strategies for getting on with your life. Some of the issues we deal with are:

    • Homesickness
    • Relationship problems
    • Loneliness
    • Stress
    • Dealing with transition
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
    • Self confidence
    • Trauma

The Counselling team are all fully qualified, experienced counsellors who are accredited with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

The service is confidential and independent of other administrative and academic structures of Marjon.

    Our service provides:

    1:1 counselling appointments

Close collaboration with Academic Advice, Student Funding Advice, Disability & Inclusion Advice Service and Employability Service where appropriate and referrals to GPs/Mental Health Services and other outside agencies when needed

    Enquiries & Appointments:

For a referral to a Student Counsellor you will first need to see one of our Learning Mentors to check whether this will meet your needs and whether there is any other support we can offer you.

    Please e-mail studentsupport@marjon.ac.uk for a 15 minute appointment.
